Ominous.Tech is both an independent publication and a personal blog focused on technology, programming, and cybersecurity, as well as any ethical issues that may arise from the existence of such technology. Its long-term goals include raising awareness about and prevention of attacks, serving as motivation and a source of ideas to experiment with for those willing to learn, and becoming a secure platform for me to share my personal thoughts and opinions on topics that I deem important.
Information is the most important undividable aspect of our reality. Therefore, the philosophy of this blog aligns with that of complete freedom of information. Even though one must consider the possibility of knowledge being used for evil (such as the creation of lock picks), no information can be inherently harmful. This blog is a limited, one-dimensional platform, and the intentions of the reader cannot be anticipated beyond a reasonable doubt by any of the editors. As such, it is pointless to attempt to distinguish between "harmful" and "harmless" information; instead, we can focus on sharing ideas for what they truly are.
This version of ominous.tech was established on the 18th of January 2021. There has since been a complete overhaul of the publishing system, and the new one was put into production on the 27th of February 2022. "Debugging My Life" was an initial, primitive version of this blog, sometime in the past.
